It may seem like the unlikliest sighting – the guy who played Galen Erso dining at restaurants in Leeds – but that’s whats happened as Mads Mikkelsen visited two eateries in the city, posing for a photograph at Southeast asian restaurant Zaap Thai (which sounds like the kind of instruction Han Solo gave Luke Skywalker as they escaped the Death Star). In the area preparing for his new film Sirius, he’s certainly getting his fill of Leeds food, spotted at Zaap Thai and rooftop Leeds restaurant UYARE.

A Hollywood actor known for his villainous roles on screen has won praise for his kindness after visiting a popular Leeds restaurant.

Mads Mikkelsen dined at Zaap Thai at the Grand Arcade last weekend. Mikkelsen, 59, was also photographed eating at another restaurant in the city, Uyare, last month.

Praising his “great taste”, a Zaap Thai spokesperson described the Danish star as “an incredible actor and an even kinder man”, adding that it had been a “pleasure” to serve him.

He also clashed with Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in 2023.
