Artist John R. Mullaney delivered some incredible cross-section artwork from DK’s The Mandalorian Visual Guide which came out earlier this year, and here, ahead of the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, we get to see some of his process as we watch his hugely impressive artwork for Mando’s N1 Starfighter build up layer by layer.

Featured by IGN – a complete timelapse of my cross-section artwork of the Mandalorian N-1 Starfighter, created for official publication with DK in collaboration with Lucasfilm.

The film documents the full process from structural layout through to final enhanced painting.

Both artworks featured in The Mandalorian Visual Guide, published 2026.

Stay tuned for our The Mandalorian Visual Guide, coming to the site soon.
