I had the great privilege of hosting a unique and fascinating panel at Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre on Friday 19th June, sitting down with five of the men who brought the Millennium Falcon to life in 1:1 scale for The Empire Strikes Back. Joining me for an engrossing conversation were General Foreman John Clark, Carpenter Malcolm Jones Master Carpenter Geoff Waterman, Foreman Richard “Dickie” Rees and Crane Operator Malcolm Styles.

You’ll be able to hear the fruits of our conversation on Pembroke Dock socials and YouTube in the future (and of course right here on Fantha Tracks) as well as a selection of photographs of the reunion taken by Martin Cavaney, the photographer for the Western Telegraph who’s photos of the Falcon broke the news back in the late 70’s.
