2025 is racing towards us, and while none of us want to wish our lives away, the year does promise to bring us a number of treats. Star Wars Celebration Japan will mark a decade of the sequel trilogy, and the second season of Andor will deliver long-awaited answers regarding the fate of Ferrix and its heroic citizens. Speaking with The Metro, star Diego Luna trod carefully around the obvious questions, giving us a flavour of what we can expect next year.

‘Oh my god, no I can’t say much. The only thing I can say is that this show has shown me how patient I can be. We’ve been working for a long time, and I can’t talk too much about it, but I can tell you, the wait is worth [it].’

‘The amount of work behind the second season… and I think that the connection between the audience and the characters – it’s going to pay out.’

‘The beauty of this second season is that you can go straight to watch Rogue One, and it’s going to have a different meaning. It’s going to look different and feel different.’

Inevitably, the thought of looking at Rogue One in a different way after the end of Andor will trigger certain fans, but there are plenty who will welcome a fresh look at this modern classic through the eyes of the boy from Kenari.

Also, check out Diego and his long-time pal and La Máquina co-star Gael García Bernal on Sesame Street with iconic best buds Bert and Ernie.
