Speaking recently on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Emilia Clarke once again discussed her role as Qi’ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story, a character that would appear to be very much back on her mind after her recent return to the Star Wars storyline in the pages of War of the Bounty Hunters #1.

“I have heard nothing. Absolutely nothing. I loved Qi’ra. Loved her, really, really did. I loved Han, I loved the story, I loved the people, I loved the experience.”

Despite clearly relishing her role as Qi’ra, Clarke feels that the negativity regarding the production, with directors Lord and Miller being replaced by Ron Howard late on in the production, altered the publics perception of the film.

“It was one of those ones where if you know too much about a celebrity, and you go and watch that movie and you’re just thinking about how many kids Angelina Jolie has. Everyone went in knowing what our dirty laundry looked like. And you couldn’t separate that gossip from the overall experience.”

There might not be any word right now on a Solo sequel or Disney Plus TV show, but there is a Lando Calrissian series in the earliest stages of planning, something Emilia is all in for.

“A Lando show makes so much sense. Give that man his own show! Yes!”
