His new film Jurassic World Rebirth just gobbled up $318m at the global box office this weekend, an action film packed with incredible work from ILM and Skywalker Sound that not only became the highest grossing film in the world this week but took star Scarlett Johansson across the line to become the highest grossing movie star in box office history. Not too shabby, and here Gareth Edwards takes us on a tour of an old school video store with Konbini to look at the films that inspired him.

From Terminator to The Thin Red Line, not forgetting Apocalypse Now… Gareth Edwards, director of Rogue One, Godzilla and Jurassic World: Renaissance, looks back on the cult films that shaped him. He deciphers these films that inspired him, moved him, and guided his way of telling the future. The film Jurassic World: Rebirth is currently in theaters. It’s only on Konbini! Konbini has been there since 2008 to celebrate culture, the diversity of talent and the topics that engage young people. But the easiest way is to show you all of this!
