The run in for Episode IX is on, and as we countdown the days to Celebration Chicago and the 258 days until the final entry in the Skywalker saga arrives, we hear from The Last Jedi writer and director Rian Johnson at CinemaCon. While he is yet to see or read anything from IX, he seems happy to sit back, wrapped up as he is in his own new project within the Star Wars galaxy.

It will be fascinating to see how the final chapter not only resolves the plot threads from The Last Jedi, but pushed those boundaries that johnson is so keen for Star wars to explore.
