I had the chance to tour the Hasbro booth at San Diego Comic Con and to put some questions to the Hasbro team.

Fantha Tracks: Do you have a layered kind of plan when it comes to product releases or do you rely solely on Fans response or requests?

Team Hasbro: It’s a mix. It’s learning about getting feedback and how to support it of course because we love the shows and then on top of that there’s also the classic and the prequels like everything basically that the fandom tells us about is they know about those ships they love those shows they love those movies they want more of these because they were missing this for their collection and they come and tell us about it online at the cons things along those lines so it definitely is a mixture between the two.

Fantha Tracks: What is the main source of feedback Hasbro uses and what would be your preferred method for fans to give you feedback or request specific sets or figures?

Team Hasbro: We’re all fans so we’re all part of all those social media groups and we try and keep an eye on things so like I love it when when all the fan sites like start aggregating, it’s almost perfect and I think like just being vocal in a constructive way. I mean we don’t mind criticism like that helps us build and grow and and learn better about what the fans want but please do that constructively.

Fantha Tracks: I’ve been loving these rollouts of book-related figures you have. What guides your choices in the books you pick what your passionate about or fan response?

Team Hasbro: It’s a mix of both we’re seeing a lot of, especially as we’re releasing these figures people are really are like reinvigorating the past passion and stuff like that, like ohh I remember that that takes me back yeah and now I want this figure so all of it kind of plays into it yeah and like any of the books that you mentioned in general it’s things that are of course and we’re constantly thinking and you know prioritizing and wondering which ones to do next so nothing we can share but obviously I love the direction we’re going into I feel like we’ve really dipped our toes into a lot of different things.

I think Chris said in the panel the other day it’s all one big story right so it’s it’s like what makes sense at the time that’s supportive of other things we’re doing and what’s building to other stories we want to do that you guys don’t know about yet or is it something that we’re going back and we’re talking about the connection to something we’ve done in the past it’s like revisiting things that are supportive.

Fantha Tracks: Lastly a big thank you for the Halloween and Christmas Collaborations When did you guys first get the idea for them?

Team Hasbro: I remember I was like in Eric’s head really, we love them I mean how did we wait so long?
