There have been over the years some incredibly impressive LEGO dioramas built to emphasize and celebrate the unique buildability and playability of LEGO. A few years back Jason Joiner constructed his breathtaking Millennium Falcon display blasting off from Mos Eisley, and here we see via Beyond the Brick this fantastic Tatooine diorama built by yodasvodkalegomocs that features the iconic podrace, the sarlacc pit, Anakins attack on the Tusken Village and more.

Instagram’s @beyondthebricktv has highlighted the impressive work of @yodasvodkalegomocs and their latest large-scale diorama, entitled “LEGO Star Wars Podracing.” With the Boonta Eve Classic as the central focus, two small-scale builds of Anakin Skywalker’s and Sebulba’s pods race around a big course utilizing a fully motorized track system. However, podracing is only the beginning of this incredible 170,000-piece LEGO display.

While LEGO did release an official Mos Espa Podrace Diorama in 2024 with Anakin and Sebulba’s pods, it’s got nothing on this. Likewise, the 170,000 pieces allow for so many epic moments to be created around the course as well.

This includes Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi Padawan attacking the Tusken Raider village in Attack of the Clones, Aurra Sing watching the race just like in The Phantom Menace, Jawas picking up R2-D2 from A New Hope, and even Qui-Gon and Darth Maul engaging in their first lightsaber duel.
