16th – 18th October at the Doubletree by Hilton, near the entrance to Universal Orlando will see the return of Halcy-Con, and while the Halcy-Con Blog is always the place to go for the latest updates from the show, here we can bring some very cool news as the event adds more space to allow for some special exhibits including more room for the VR experience, the crafting workshop, food hall and more.

Good journey, Superfans!  Great news to report from the Halcy-Con Command Center today: we have made a MAJOR expansion to the event space! The entire Universal Center at the venue is now also part of our show area on Friday, October 17 & Saturday, October 18. Check the map above to see the original and newly expanded event space.

We are getting some very exciting plans together for some of these spaces that we will be revealing in the next few weeks but in broad strokes this will allow us to do a number of things that were highly requested in the 2024 event surveys. Remember buying food and having nowhere to sit? DONE. Remember Halcyon VR being in the main corridor? MOVED! Their team has been hard at work and now has a space of their own! Anyone want to sew a Saja tunic? Workshop area enabled! Teal Team Volunteer Lounge? ABSOLUTELY. A dedicated Gaming room? We would LOVE that! So while we won’t be expanding scheduled Programming into this area in a significant fashion, it allows a lot of breathing room for spaces to plus up the event even more!

There’s also some fantastic merch available of you’re able to attend the event, something very special for those lucky enough to visit the Halcyon.

Clear some room on your shelves, Superfans! The first 2025 Exclusives reveal for Ma’Li’s Marketplace is the Starcruiser Atrium Playset by The Cardboard Galaxy! This fun 3-3/4” scale playset has been inspired by a location you all know and love…and now you can bring one home…BUT ONLY IF YOU PURCHASE IT AT HALCY-CON 2025!

There are also spots for folks to volunteer, and in addition there’s more merch coming to the show.

WANT TO VOLUNTEER AT HALCY-CON 2025? The TEAL TEAM needs YOU! Our incredible Volunteer Coordinator, Mike Tierney, will begin accepting 2025 applications mid-August. And did we happen to mention the TEAL TEAM LOUNGE this year?

HAVE WE GOT A GAME FOR YOU with this gorgeous print as the prize! Kristine and Martin co-hosted a “What’s New On Batuu?” panel at San Diego Comic-Con this past week alongside Peter Sciretta from Ordinary Adventures. All panel attendees received a free 11×17 print of con-exclusive art that we specially commissioned from Travis Hanson. This incredible print features all your favorite Black Spire Outpost characters having fun with (or hiding from) each other in Oga’s Cantina. BUT WE ORDERED ADDITIONAL COPIES FOR HALCY-CON so it still remains a “con-exclusive”. STAY TUNED to see how attendees can earn this 11×17” print via a fun onsite activity!
