Rebel Scum Con may be a month in the rear view mirror, but the content from the show continues to arrive, and here we have Richard Woloski from Skywalking Through Neverland chatting with one of the puppeteers inside the mighty Jabba the Hutt in Return of the Jedi, Toby Philpott.
Who among us can say they’ve been inside of Jabba the Hutt? Puppeteer Toby Philpott can! We watch the Jabba scenes from Return of the Jedi and Toby breaks down his performance. Did he or did he not lick Leia’s face, that’s the question he still struggles with. As puppeteers ourselves, it was such a special treat to get tips from the man who gave Jabba such life.
This was recorded at the second annual Rebel Scum Con on August 8-10, 2025, at the Embassy Suites Dallas Frisco Hotel & Convention Center. It was an epic weekend packed with special guests, exclusive panels, thrilling activities, and unforgettable moments. We look forward to next year’s event!
