Day three of the NFL draft picks is about as exciting as watching paint dry even for the most ardent supporter, so in an effort to spice up the spectacle a few of the teams have gone the extra mile in delivering the pick news.  The San Francisco 49ers teaming up with Lucasfilm to deliver their pick news.

Coming live from the Lucasfilm headquarters Ron Howard, R2-D2, Chewbacca and some Stormtroopers teamed up with the 49ers to deliver the news that their fifth round pick was NC State DE Kentavius Street.

Chewbacca and R2-D2 aren’t the only special guest pick announcers on Day 3. An actual parrot delivered the details of the Buccaneers’ fourth-round pick to a person, who then announced it from the pirate ship in Raymond James Stadium. What could go wrong?

Wookiees speak Shyriiwook, and that’s not exactly a commonly understood language outside of Kashyyyk. R2-D2 speaks Droidspeak, and I’d be willing to bet that none of us is fluent in that one, either. Luckily, we have a translator.
