James Brown was the Godfather of Soul,  Ozzy Osbourne is the Godfather of Metal but if you had to name someone as the Godfather of Star Wars you could easily argue that it’s Steve Sansweet. Owner of the worlds biggest catalogued Star Wars collection, beloved head of fan relations, one of the minds behind our very own Superbowl – Star Wars Celebration – and a mentor to collectors literally the world over, he will be at this years San Diego Comic Con to discuss his journey from a successful career at The Wall Street Journal to a galaxy far, far away.

Steve Sansweet (chairman of Rancho Obi-Wan) tells attendees how he went from being a reporter and editor to, according to George Lucas, Star Wars’ “ultimate fan” and the face of the saga from 1996 to 2011.

He eventually opened Rancho Obi-Wan, the nonprofit museum that houses the world’s largest collection of Star Wars memorabilia.
