They travelled from London to New York City on R1150GS Adventures in Long Way Round, Scotland to South Africa on BMW R1200GS Adventures in Long Way Down and now rumours abound that Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman – after an 11 year break – could be about to travel from Argentina to Los Angeles on the new electric roadster the Harley-Davidson Livewire in Long Way Up.

The duo were spotted in Argentina and Drive Mag Riders took a look at the convoy that has apparently been delivered.

Two Harley-Davidson Livewire Motorcyles equipped for a trans-continental trip
Another two back-up bikes
Two Rivian R1T – 100% electric pick-ups – 105-180 kWh batteries which allow to reach up to 754 horsepower and 1,120 NM of torque in their top spec versions. The range sits somewhere between 390 and 660 km.
Two Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4Matic
A 6.2 litre V8 Ford F350. The guys at autoblog are guessing that these should be the bikes responsible for the support equipment and spare parts.

While hoping that the final destination of this journey will be the set of the Kenobi Disney Plus series instead of LA, check out Drive Mag for images of the convoy vehicles and stay tuned as we follow the rumours which fingers crossed will lead to a third, long-overdue series.

Long Way Round
  • Factory sealed DVD
  • Ewan McGregor, Charley Boorman (Actors)
  • David Alexanian (Director)
  • Audience Rating: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
