Watch Encounter on Dagobah, a charming and totally practical ‘deleted scene’ from The Empire Strikes Back, made by filmmaker Jim Milton. To view it, visit Vimeo.

Inspired by Industrial Light & Magic’s wonderful history of practical FX and a bird in my neighborhood who sounds like R2-D2, I’ve made what amounts to a deleted scene from The Empire Strikes Back. [Apart from the titles; contains no computer generated imagery].

Public Domain music by the Internet Archive. Original Music by Keith Guernsey.
