Interesting news as World of Reel reveal that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – which don’t forget recieves its world premiere tomorrow at the Cannes Film Festival – will run to a whopping 153 minutes, 25 minutes longer than the previous Indy marathon movie The Last Crusade, which came in at 128 minutes.

World of Reel has reported that Indiana Jones’ latest adventure is two hours and 33 minutes long, or 153 minutes in length. The outlet notes that in April, producer Kathleen Kennedy announced that the Indiana Jones 5 runtime would be 142 minutes, or two hours and 22 minutes, meaning the new runtime could be the result of adding the movie’s credits.

This makes Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny the longest entry in the series. For comparison, Raiders of the Lost Ark is 115 minutes long, The Temple of Doom is 118 minutes in length, The Last Crusade runs for 128 minutes, and finally, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull stands at 122 minutes.

It’s worth remembering that a good chunk of that will be end credits, but we live in a Marvel world – who isn’t going to stay for the glorious John Williams score (perhaps the last time you’ll hear new Indy music from the Maestro) and who knows, maybe an end credit moment. Stranger things have happened.
