Movie Surfers visited the set of The Mandalorian and Grogu, meeting director Jon Favreau, star Pedro Pascal and of course, Grogu himself. Meet Legacy Effects creatures and droids, and get ready for the arrival of the film on 22nd May 2026.

The Movie Surfers are off to a galaxy far, far away with “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.” Join director Jon Favreau and Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin) as they talk about The Mandalorian coming to the big screen. Then, Michelle Khare (‪@MichelleKhare‬ ) heads into the Mandalorian Archives with production designer Andrew Jones, who shows off all the vehicles, droids, and creatures that make up the movie. Finally, our Surfer goes on the set of the movie with Legacy Effects to learn how to puppet the Anzellans, the wacky, little engineers that help out Grogu and Mando on their journey

Disney’s “Movie Surfers” goes behind the scenes of Disney’s newest movies, giving fans access to exclusive interviews, red carpets, set tours, and more. The Surfers dive into the magic to discover what it takes to bring our favorite movies to life. Originally aired in 1998 on Disney Channel, the Movie Surfers are back and catching all new waves, bringing fans along for the ride.

The Mandalorian and Grogu embark on their most thrilling mission yet in Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu,” an all-new Star Wars adventure opening exclusively in theaters May 22, 2026. The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. Directed by Jon Favreau, “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” also stars Sigourney Weaver and is produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.
