Oscar Isaac continues to line up new projects in the wake of his time in the GFFA as he joins HBO’s adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes from a Marriage.

Isaac has signed up to star with Venom: Let There Be Carnage actress Michelle Williams in HBO’s limited series adaptation of legendary director Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes from a Marriage, reports Variety.

Bergman created Scenes from a Marriage for Swedish television in 1973, but it was edited into a single theatrical film in other countries – earning a Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

This new version will be written by Israeli writer Hagai Levi, revisioning the story through the lens of an American couple whose marriage dissolves to the brink of despair throughout the series.
