There’s never been a Star Wars film where the director has felt such a need to defend the movie and it’s many and various plot points as The Last Jedi. Director Rian Johnson once again goes on the defensive to explain why certain Force powers are not out of character in the context of a Star Wars epic.

The exchange started – as do most things these days – on Twitter.

We’re very fortunate that Johnson is clearly open and easy with debating and discussing these elements on social media, and it illustrates once again that The Last Jedi is not only a game-changer in the realms of Star Wars but also one that will keep fans talking far beyond the release of Solo in May and right through to Episode IX in December 2019.
