Scott Mendelson, Forbes Senior Contributor, takes a look at the 27th November 2019 launch date for Rian Johnson’s thriller Knives Out, which as he so correctly points out stars everyone in the world but you.

Lionsgate and MRC has just announced that they will be opening Knives Out on November 27, 2019. In other words, the Rian Johnson-directed mystery thriller starring everyone except you, will take the release date recently vacated by Walt Disney’s Frozen sequel. And yeah, Johnson’s follow-up to Star Wars: The Last Jedi will open just under a month before J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode IX. I’m sure that won’t lead to some interesting interview pull-quotes.

The original murder mystery flick stars (deep breath) Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Ana de Armas, Don Johnson, Katherine Langford and Christopher Plummer. With a cast that prestigious, the murder could be anyone. This isn’t some television procedural where the killer is the vaguely well-known character actor amid a cast of work-a-day players. But, just for fun, I’m officially proclaiming that the killer is… uh… Toni Collette!

As always, if in doubt, blame Muriel.
