He’s found his leading men in the (for now) former Captain America Chris Evans and the current (for now) James Bond Daniel Craig, and has brought in General Zod Michael Shannon and Get Out‘s Lakeith Stanfield to bolster a high-quality cast.

With filming taking place at the back end of 2018 – and bearing in mind that Craig has to be ready and primed to film his final Bond film in early 2019 – Johnson has brought in his The Last Jedi cinematographer Steve Yedlin to reunite with Johnson and producer Ram Bergman, a team that have previously worked together on The Last Jedi, Looper, The Brothers Bloom, and Brick.

All eyes will be on this contemporary mystery thriller, a film that is a throwback in style and very much in keeping with his earlier efforts, so don’t expect to see any zero_G Generals, space ghosts or cute edible avians.
