Our sincerest condolences go out to the family, friends and colleaguers of the late Steve Maslow, the Academy Award winning Skywalker Sound re-recording mixer who worked on numerous classics. Maslow was 81, and among his seven Oscar nominations were wins for The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Speed. Beginning with 1979’s Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Maslow worked on over 200 productions, 130 of them will fellow mixer Greg Landaker, and began his Lucasfilm journey on 1979’s More American Graffiti.
