The 138th edition of Blocks magazine lands in UK stores on 3rd April 2026 and as always it’s packed with the latest news, reviews and interviews. This month you’ll find a mini Razor Crest build, info on the new LEGO Pokémon sets, reviews of the new Star Wars SMART Play sets, and if you subscribe this week (a one-year print subscription in the UK is just £64.90) you’ll get a FREE LEGO polybag. All this and more in the latest edition of Blocks magazine.

Gotta build ‘em all! LEGO Pokémon is here and Blocks is going deep into the new theme as the franchise turns 30. This month’s magazine for LEGO fans also includes the inside scoop on how LEGO House created LEGO Masters Academy, a fabulous mini Razor Crest build based on Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu and much more.

Issue 138 is available to order worldwide as part of a subscription or as a single issue at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from April 3.

Blocks subscriptions are better value than ever – a one-year print subscription in the UK is just £64.90, for a saving of £52.10. If you take one out this week, you’ll get a FREE LEGO polybag!

If you take out a two-year print subscription, we’ll also throw in Blocks Book of Retro LEGO Sets!

Every month there’s a prize to win for subscribers – and Blocks is giving away Pokémon 72151 Eevee! To be in with a chance of winning, take out a subscription before April 30, 2026.

This month’s lead feature is an exclusive interview with Model Designer Peter Carmichael. He goes into great detail as he explains how he crafted the absolutely enormous 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, revealing the challenges that he overcame to deliver the 6,838-piece set.

Blocks also reviews the three Pokémon launch models, including 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball – alongside Star Wars SMART Play sets, 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, 11389 Project Hail Mary, 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher and more. It’s safe to say that some of the builds get glowing write-ups… others, not so much…

The latest addition to LEGO House is LEGO Masters Academy, which offers the chance to attend an entertaining session and learn new build skills, in a replica of the Build Room seen on TV. Head of Experience Søren Bering Andersen explains how they pulled it off, illustrated with images that show how the space went from empty to room to fully realised LEGO Masters set.

Nick Trotta’s Metal Heart spaceship is this month’s masterpiece MOC, so you can admire the build, read about how Nick created it, then peek at some of the techniques it uses so they are in your arsenal ready for your next build. There are also three new sets of Quick Build instructions – a mini Razor Crest from Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, a tiny pooch inspired by 11384 Golden Retriever and an equally fun size 6975 Alien Avenger from the beloved Space UFO theme.

That is just a taste of what is in this edition of the magazine for AFOLs, packed with 116 pages of exclusive content that isn’t online. This issue also includes an interview with Design Master Ellen Bowley, a look at collecting ephemera, the origins of Castle Forestmen and much more.

When you visit LEGO House, be sure to check out Character Creator. You can put your own unique minifigure together and then make them a Blocks magazine cover star! Share your image with the hashtag #blocksinlegohouse and tag @blocksmagazine too.
