Sad news reaches us that Vanessa Marshall, who was set to appear next weekend at MCM Birmingham Comic Con, has been advised not to travel to the UK after being involved in a motor accident earlier this week.

Her UK representative, Paul Dunne of Elite Signatures, posted this update on the official MCM Facebook page.

Hello I am the UK representative that was bringing Vanessa to the UK, unfortunately Vanessa has been in a rather nasty car accident in the US in the last couple of days. She is ok but having back and neck issues and been advised not to fly. I was speaking to her last night and she is very upset about not attending and was really looking forward to meeting the UK fans.

I am working with MCM in rescheduling Vanessa’s appearance in the future.

I’m sure you all will join me in wishing a speedy recovery.

Here’s how MCM broke the news.

We spoke to Paul earlier today and he wanted it known that he will be working with MCM to bring Vanessa to a UK MCM event next year, and you’ll hear about that announcement here on Fantha Tracks. Before then, we’re sending all our best wishes to Vanessa and hope she has a steady recovery.
