Project Maverick: Has an unannounced EA Star Wars game been revealed?

Last month a report via Kotaku arrived, claiming that a Battlefront spin-off has been cancelled but that two further games were still in development. One is a sequel to the smash hit Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the other a “smaller, more unusual” game.

PSN releases, a Twitter bot account reporting on new PS4 releases has uncovered and posted this – Project Maverick, currently in development at EA Motive.

With a title like Maverick, and an image showing X-Wings approaching an ISD in an asteroid field, could this be a long-awaited sequel to the classic Lucasarts game X-Wing? Interesting news, and we will bring more as and when it arrives.
