Casting appears to be underway on the Obi-Wan Kenobi mini series, shooting March 2021 in the UK under director Deborah Chow for a 2022 arrival on Disney Plus and rumours  have surfaced regarding three supporting roles and a hotly contested lead actress role.

Riley (aka Eve) Female (20-25) CO-LEAD – A female BIPOC whose character details are being kept under wraps

Tia Female (30s) SUPPORTING – BIPOC

Harold Male (Late 20s-30s) SUPPORTING – A quirky, comedic male

Bella Female (40s) SUPPORTING – Latinx

In addition to these three roles, Thuso Mbedu, Anula Navlekar, and Naomi Scott are all in line for the co-lead of ‘Riley’, but who could this lead character be? With flashbacks likely there’s no reason to assume that ‘Riley’ is a character in the present; she could just as easily be a character from his past during Kenobi’s service to the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars.

Exciting times, and we’ll be sure to discuss this and more on the next episode of Making Tracks next Tuesday, and as ever until it’s acknowledged and confirmed by Lucasfilm and Disney Plus it’s just a rumour.
