Over at StarWars.com I take a look at one of the highlights of 2017 – Star Wars Celebration, as always an amazing event – and my fellow writers at the official site take a look at the other awesome moments from a blockbuster year for Star Wars.

Obviously the loss of Carrie Fisher hung heavy over the weekend, but in true Star Wars tradition we made a fist of it and partied hard.

Despite our shared loss, the long weekend was still a hearty celebration of all things Star Wars. The Collecting Track was busier than a buzz droid, the 501st, Rebel Legion, Mando Mercs, and R2 Builders were a constant presence around the halls, and an A to Z of authors discussed their work at various panels. Artists Alley was heaving, the podcast stage broadcasted across the planet, and all the while, the attendance rose to a Celebration record of more than 70,000 visitors.
