With the third season of The Mandalorian heading our way in 2022 Katee Sackhoff has her own thoughts about what may or may not be happening with her character Bo-Katan, and while discussing her role in the animated version of 1968’s Night of the Living Dead she touched on The Mandalorian.

“The way that Lucasfilm left me in season 2, one of the roads that could be gone down — absolutely, you’d think — would be the unfinished business,” Sackhoff told us. “But that is so far above my pay grade, and you just don’t know, right? As a fan of the show, I’m just excited to see what they come up with.”

Having worked on The Clone Wars for a decade, with her debut episode A Friend In Need premiering on 13th January 2021 during the fourth season of The Clone Wars, Sackhoff also talks shop with Dave Filoni and Katee mentioned those conversations.

“Dave and I talk a lot about Bo and her backstory and time lost and things like that, just because we enjoy talking about Star Wars and the characters. I definitely know a lot about who she is and where she’s been and what’s happened. So, yeah, I knew that kind of stuff for sure.”

Katee is also keen to have scenes with an acting contemporary, Rosario Dawson, having worked opposite Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka on The Clone Wars.

“I’ve been watching her since I was very, very young. Well, we were both very, very young. We’re the same age. She’s been acting way longer than I have! I remember watching ‘Kids’ when I was young and just being absolutely blown away by not only their performances, but the subject matter. It changed the trajectory of a lot of my philanthropic work with amfAR. I love Rosario. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting her. So maybe one of these days.”

Maybe that place will be Star Wars Celebration next May – we can but hope.

UPDATE:
Our readers have advised us that Kristian Harloff interviewed Katee Sackhoff on his show The Big Thing, on The SEN Channel a few days before Slashfilm, and as both interviews cover similar themes and topics, it’s only right to circle back and give due credit to Kristian for being first to bring the details also covered by Slashfilm, into the public domain.

Be sure to check out the entirety of the show below, which covers a number of areas in much more detail, and in a wider scope that we have heard before.

Slashfilm promise to publish their exclusive interview with Katee Sackhoff “soon” but in the meantime you can watch The Big Thing’s own exclusive interview over on YouTube.
