While the news is all but become a footnote next to the news that he intends to appropriately cast his adaptation of the 1961 multi-Oscar winning musical West Side Story

with Latino actors, Steven Spielberg’s next film will be the long-awaited Indiana Jones 5.

It’s been a long decade since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull back in 2008, itself released 19 years after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and with Harrison Ford now 75 years old, Spielberg needs to get moving fast on the film, which will most likely be set at the back end of the 1960’s.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Spielberg plans to shoot what would be the fifth Indy installment in 2019 with a goal of having it released in 2020.
