The team from Young Indy Chroniclers are in London, gathering content and chatting to four key figures in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles story – Peter MacDonald, Mike Newell, Waldo Roeg and Jonathan Hales.

We’re halfway through our London filming trip for George Lucas: The Lost Golden Age — and it’s already exceeded every expectation. In this vlog-style update, Daniel recaps our first four incredible interviews conducted across England for the documentary.

🎬 WHO WE SAT DOWN WITH:
Peter MacDonald – Director of Young Indiana Jones: Phantom Train of Doom, with a career spanning 2001: A Space Odyssey, Superman: The Movie, Rambo III, Excalibur, and Deliverance. We were welcomed into his home on the Thames for a two-hour conversation alongside his wife Madeleine.

Mike Newell – Director of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Donnie Brasco — and the man behind two standout Young Indiana Jones episodes. At 84, he has a new film heading to Cannes. We got his never-before-told stories about filming on the Leaning Tower of Pisa and in Istanbul.

Waldo Roeg – Son of legendary director Nicolas Roeg and assistant director on Young Indiana Jones and Radioland Murders. A warm, candid conversation about life on those productions.

Jonathan Hales – Writer of roughly 25% of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and co-writer of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Our longest interview at 2 hours and 20 minutes — with a beautiful, definitive answer about what Young Indy is truly about.
