Lawrence Kasdan on Solo 2: “I would be more interested in doing another movie, not a TV series”

Basking in the almost unanimously excellent (and well-deserved) reviews for his 6-part documentary series Light & Magic on Disney Plus, Lawrence Kasdan discussed the show, a conversation that began with being brought into the galaxy after writing Raiders of the Lost Ark all the way to his involvement with Solo: A Star Wars Story, a storyline Kasdan clearly has unfinished business with.

“No there’s not any talk of that,” he says. “I’ve never been particularly drawn to expanding [Solo] into a show. But, I do talk to Jon [Kasdan] and Ron [Howard] a lot about what went right and what went wrong with the Solo experience. I would be more interested in doing another movie, not a TV series.”

Anything that picks up the tantalising threads left by Solo – what happened next for Enfys Nest? What did Maul and Qi’ra do with Crimson Dawn? How did Chewie lose his bandolier? – would be very welcome indeed. Fingers crossed.
