Known to be a long-time Star Trek fan who almost played the central character of Zefram Cochrane in Star Trek First Contact, Hanks would have played a…let’s allow director Ron Howard to tell the story.

“Tom Hanks was really interested in being a stormtrooper,” Howard told JOE.ie. “It would’ve been great. It was shooting and he just couldn’t get there.”
