The Abbey Theatre in Nuneaton, is managed by the registered charity Nuneaton Arts Council and manned almost entirely by volunteers, is looking forward to one of its biggest nights of the year.

On Thursday 21st December they will welcome Gareth Edwards, director and co-writer of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, for a Q&A session followed by a showing of the film to an intimate audience of 250 people.

Gareth was born and grew up in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and attended the local secondary school, Higham Lane School. Since his childhood, he wanted to direct his own films and was quoted as saying,

Star Wars is definitely the reason that I wanted to become a filmmaker”

The event proved very popular with local Star Wars fans and sold out within 24 hours.

But fear not –  if you want to see what happens live during the Q&A, the Abbey Theatre plan to stream live via their social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Fantha Trackers will be on hand to report live from the theatre, so keep your eyes open across our social media via the hashtag #fanthaassemble and here on the website.
