Daisy Ridley on finishing Star Wars: “When we wrapped I wept all day”

The end of filming on The Rise of Skywalker signified not only the end of the Sequel Era (for now) but the end of 5 years in the Star Wars galaxy (for now) for Daisy Ridley, who described her feelings when the final shot of episode 9 was in the can.

“When we wrapped I wept all day. I felt like I was going to pop a vein because I was crying so much.

“Obviously not to say that it was like grieving, but it was grieving something. I’ll always have it, and we’re all bonded by this incredible thing.”
