In addition to receiving the IMDb STARmeter Award in Toronto, Riz Ahmed discusses the inspiration behind his new film Sound of Metal.

#RizAhmed and writer/director #DariusMarder discuss the real-life inspiration behind #SoundOfMetal, and the people who helped them form an understanding of how to represent the deaf community with their story of a drummer who beings to experience hearing loss.

Riz will premiere Sound of Metal at the Toronto Film Festival.
