How do you make a modern version of a Stormtrooper helmet that was created back in the day that wasn’t 1000% completely symetrical, but needs to look completely correct when placed side by side? It’s a tricky task and one that Stephen Lane from Propstore (and the Antiques Roadshow) and Adam Savage delve into at Propstore HQ.

After seeing an original Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet at Propstore a year ago, Adam gets the opportunity to examine the same helmet design, created by the specialty costume makers at FBFX for a modern Star Wars production. It’s a fascinating look at how modern fabrication techniques are used to recreate an iconic design and retain all the aesthetic hallmarks of the original.
