In a fast moving situation, the OC Register have reported that theme parks, which fall under the Stage 3 measures of the California reopening plan, could start as soon as next month. That means that potentially, Disneyland could open within the next few weeks, dependent upon the rate of COVID-19 transmission. Full details are yet to be announced, and as it stands, Disneyland are only accepting reservations from July onwards.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has stated that the state could move into Stage 3 as early as June, however, a specific date has not been stated for the start of the next stage, as it will depend on medical data, seeing as through theme parks are seen as “higher risk” businesses. Other Stage 3 businesses include salons, gyms, theaters, religious services, and more.

As we said in our article yesterday, what this means for Celebration Anaheim which takes place in just 91 days time is still unknown.
