What can be said about Dave Filoni that hasn’t been shouted from the rooftops by a thousand fans already. From being brought in by George Lucas to oversee direction on The Clone Wars to now being the Chief Creative Officer of Lucasfilm, Filoni has walked every step not only as a creative brimming with ideas under that iconic hat, but also as an avid fan who’s love for the saga is worn on his sleeve, something the fandom instantly connected to. From the start of the Clone Wars to the post-Endor era and beyond, he’s brought us some of the most intriguing and engrossing adventures in the sagas 47 year history, and as he hits his own half-century just three years ahead of the adventures we all love so much here’s hoping he’s around to steer creative for many years to come.

He directed multiple episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, before being hired by George Lucas to oversee direction on the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars as well as directing and writing numerous episodes, including its theatrical film. He was the creator of follow-up series Star Wars Rebels, and served as a supervising director, executive producer and writer.
