What could the land clearing in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge mean?

Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World in Orlando is currently the site of some contruction and discussion as an area on the edge of the 14 acre park is currently boarded up with trees removed, and while the area was recently used as overflow seating for Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land, the two lands are 80 feet apart. Blog Mickey take a closer look, along with a selection of images from the latest progress.

And here’s a look at the location from our visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier today. As you can see, a significant number of trees have been removed. In fact, some infrastructure such as speakers and fencing, can be seen thanks to the land clearing.

We’re still not sure what Walt Disney World is doing here. It’s close to a snack stand under construction within Toy Story Land, but the projects are some 80′ apart and technically in two different themed lands.

What could this new area be for? Indeed, is it definitely for Galaxy’s Edge, or could it be an expansion from Toy Story Land? Let us know what you think on Fantha Tracks socials.
