Billie Lourd and Andrew Garfield to star in Artificial

Billie Lourd joins the ensemble cast of Articifial from director Luca Guadagnino and starring Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Jason Schwartzman, Cooper Koch, Cooper Hoffman and Ike Barinholtz. The film is set in the world of artificial intelligence. Most recently Billie has starred in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl and voiced a role in the animated Smurfs movie, while on TV, she has guest starred on Mid-Century Modern, and starred in American Horror Story: She’s soon to star in Adulthood, directed by Bill S. Preston, Esq himself Alex Winter; The Pirate King, Love Language, That Friend and The Deputy.

Official plot details are being kept under wraps, although the film is being described as a comedic drama set in the world of artificial intelligence. While unconfirmed, sources say the film revolves around the period at OpenAI in 2023 that saw CEO Sam Altman fired and rehired in a matter of days. Details behind who Lourd will be playing are unknown at this time.

Simon Rich wrote the script and will produce alongside Heyday Films’ David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford, as well as Jennifer Fox.
