ILM VFX: Creating the Kessel environment

After over four decades of creating magic on the big screen, it’s sometimes easy for forget just how much effort goes into making the environments, vehicles and characters of Star Wars an on-screen ‘reality’.

This video brings that to a new level, layering the various elements that went in to creating the landing area on Kessel where Solo and his crew carried out their coaxium heist.
