Lin-Manuel Miranda’s ‘Hamilton’ Lead Jamael Westman Joins Cast of ‘Starfighter.’

Renowned stage actor, Jamel Westman has joined the cast of ‘Starfighter’ from Shawn Levy.  Westman played Alexander Hamilton in the West End production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s ‘Hamilton.’  A performance that earnt him a Laurence Olivier Award nomination.

Since then, he has appeared in London Tide at the National Theatre, Imposter 22, and Torn at the Royal Court, Patriots at Almeida, The Lorax at the Old Vic, and The White Devil at the Globe.  His TV credits The Essex Serpent for Apple TV+, and he will be next seen onscreen in Hedda, Nia DaCosta’s new film adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s play.

Westman follows in the footsteps of fellow Star Wars actors Ian McDiarmid, Sir Alec Guinness, and James Earl Jones in earning his reputation on stage.
