Exciting news broke a little while ago, announced by none other than The Mandalorian himself Mr Pedro Pascal, that he’ll be taking on hosting duties on the long running American comedy institution that is Saturday Night Live. I’d be astounded if we weren’t in store for a Star Wars sketch at some point.

He’ll be joining a long list of Star Wars alumni who have put their comedy chops to the test over the show’s astonishing 48-year run including Natalie Portman, Donald Glover, Carrie Fisher, Liam Neeson and Adam Driver.

Pascal is riding high on his critically acclaimed HBO series ‘The Last of Us’ and will once again return with Grogu to a galaxy far, far away in the highly anticipated third season of ‘The Mandalorian‘ on 1st March.

Saturday Night Live has a long history of a well-written Star Wars skits and some have amassed millions of views on YouTube including Adam Driver’s Undercover Boss sketches as Kylo Ren and even Mark Hamill appeared way back in 1997 in a ‘Shopping At Home’ skit selling Star Wars merch.

Pedro Pascal’s episode will air, along with musical guests Coldplay, in the states on Saturday 4th February 4th and viewers in the UK can catch all the laughs on Sunday 5th February at 9pm on Sky Comedy.

Jonathan wasn't born until 1991 so missed out on all the fun but in 1995 when a family member gave him three old VHS tapes from a galaxy far, far away his life was transformed forever. In 1999, aged 8, he fell in love all over again with the Prequels and the rest, as they say, is history. By day (and night) Jonathan is an author/ writer and stand-up comedian and now spends most of his time thinking about how he can work more Star Wars jokes into his show. Jonathan is also the curator of 'The Jedi Palladium'.
