Ralph McQuarrie remembered: 13th June 1929 – 3rd March 2012

Eleven ago, Star Wars the man who drew the galaxy far, far away passed away. Ralph McQuarrie left us on 3rd March 2012, a humble, talented man who was one of the pillars of Star Wars alongside George Lucas, Gary Kurtz and John Williams. He may be gone, but he left behind the visual language of the Star Wars galaxy, influencing everything that came after it.

Rather than discuss Ralph, it’s always better to let his art do the talking.
