We have a trailer, a poster and an official description of the second season of Star Wars: Andor, giving us a deeper insight into the 12 episode season and what we can expect when it lands on Disney Plus on 22nd April in North America and the 23rd everywhere else.

“Season two will see the characters and their relationships intensify as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound.”

Tony Gilroy also gave his thoughts on what fans can expect, with the choices facing our heroes – and villains – starker than ever.

“One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries. They are real people making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences. Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so excited for audiences to see where we go in season two.”

The article also hints at the show being broken into threee-episode chapters, with a chapter being released each week. That reads very much like three episodes dropping every Tuesday – what do you think of that? Let us know on our Fantha socials, by emailing news@fanthatracks.com and we’ll discuss it on Fantha Tracks programming over the coming week.
