Vote for John Powell in the World Soundtrack Awards

If ever there was a no-brainer, this is it. In the same way that Michael Giacchino absolutely nailed it with his luxurious score for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, John Powell comfortably equals it with his lush, Western-inspired, constantly-on-repeat music for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

You can vote for John in the World Soundtrack Awards for two scores, Solo and Ferdinand. Nothing against the big bull, but we’re going to vote for Solo, a score that gets better and better the more it’s played.

Pleased to have both Ferdinand and Solo: A Star Wars Story be nominated for the World Soundtrack Awards!

Powell is up against some heavyweight competition including John Williams for The Last Jedi, which was Oscar nominated earlier this year. The Last Jedi did very nicely at the box office and Williams isn’t finished scooping up awards by any measure, so we’re crossing our fingers for Powell on this one.
