Sad news arrives as the expected transfer to the West End of Eugenius the Musical has been cancelled after funding fell through. Produced by and featuring Warwick Davis, this hugely fun musical was poised for a star turn in the spotlight from 27th October to 5th January.

The planned West End transfer of Eugenius, which was set to run at the Ambassadors Theatre, has been cancelled, producers have announced.

Following a concert premiere at the London Palladium and a number of runs at The Other Palace in London, the musical was set to follow Foxfinder, which is closing early at the Ambassadors later this month.

However, according to a statement from producers, key investors have pulled out meaning the transfer will no longer be possible.

Producer Kevin Wood said: “The past few days have been spent frantically trying to replace them but time has run out.  In the New Year we will take stock and come again.

“We have spent too much time and money on this project to just let it die.”

Best of luck to the team in finding it a new home.
