Sharp-eyed Sphero fans might have already spotted this chirpy little character, however somehow he slipped under my collecting radar.

The Disney Store boasts the trio of BB-8, BB-9E and R2-D2, although this impressive Imperial R2-Q5 Astromech does not appear within their Sphero stable.

While this R2’s casing is virtually an R2-D2 repaint, he is advertised as programmed with his own unique sounds.

If you are a fan of Sphero’s Astromech series, R2-5Q is available on-line from John Lewis.

Mark's collecting focuses are vintage and modern Star Wars 3 ¾ inch figures, and readily shares his Star Wars, collecting and customising knowledge, Mark has appeared on Castle FM Radio shows, featured in the Guardian newspaper and numerous episodes of fellow Fantha Tracker Adam O’Brien’s much-missed Ausfans Radio Network podcasts.
