Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Annapurna Pictures have formed a new joint venture for theatrical distribution in the U.S.  The move marks the return to U.S. theatrical distribution for MGM.

Under a deal with a desire to see six to eight releases per annum, MGM will release the following in 2018:

Eli Roth’s re-make of ‘Death Wish,’ starring Bruce Willis.

A musical adaptation of the 1983 romantic comedy ‘Valley Girl.’

‘Fighting with My Family,’ from the UK comedian Stephen Merchant and based on WWE Superstar Paige.

Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway’s ‘Nasty Women’

Perhaps of most interest to Star Wars fans, the thriller ‘Operation Finale,’ directed by Chris Weitz [who co-wrote Rogue One: A Star Wars Story alongside Tony Gilroy] and starring Golden Globe-winner Oscar Isaac [of Poe Dameron fame].

AND, the 25th instalment of the James Bond franchise.
