The Outernet on Tottenham Court Road in London sounds like it could be the name of a nightclub on Coruscant (or maybe the new planet Shakari). However, on Friday morning it became the venue for a Star Wars-themed pop-up food truck, celebrating the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.

The food truck itself was a similar style to the one inhabited by Ardennian fry cook Hugo, voiced by legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese. It was also the same truck fans had seen the previous evening at The Mandalorian and Grogu Fan Event on Leicester Square.

After posing with a pair of the Empire’s finest Stormtroopers, members of the public could queue within the immersive digital environment, complete with a city-street backdrop and starfield ceiling. Visitors were treated to a sweet snack in the form of Mandalorian or Grogu-themed cookies before grabbing a photo or selfie with the Mandalorian himself, and his tiny green ward, Grogu.

Influencers and special guests, however, received an extra-special surprise, as director Jon Favreau and star Pedro Pascal made a special appearance to personally hand out the baked goods to waiting fans. After a quick group photo (and a cheeky selfie), we even had the chance to grab a photo with the leading man himself as Grogu joined us inside the food truck.

Huge thanks to Disney UK and Star Wars UK for inviting us along.
